

Kansas City, Missouri is home to Lance William Conley, his wife Dana, and three sons. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2001, the Hannibal, MO native settled in Kansas City’s Fifth District. As longtime members of Kansas City Baptist Temple, the couple established firm roots and lifelong relationships within the community.
For eight years, Lance worked in pharmaceutical sales travelling around the metro in support of his family and learning more about Kansas City. His charming personality and keen insight ensured his success. No stranger to hard work, Lance learned valuable lessons from his parents about perseverance, courage, and commitment. His parents’ high regard for education and a strong work ethic formed the building blocks for Lance’s commitment to Healthy Neighborhoods, Education, Crime Reduction, and Accountable Government. These small town values shaped his faith and willingness to look out for other people. In 2011, Lance took on a bigger challenge as a Physician Liaison for Kansas City and the region’s major safety-net hospital, Truman Medical Center. Lance’s leadership skills have been recognized by Mayor Sly James and Fifth District At-Large Councilwoman Cindy Circo with various appointments to Kansas City Boards and Commissions. They include the Neighborhood Tourism Development Fund, Environmental Management Commission, and the Economic Development Task Force. Lance represented the Fifth District as Vice-Chair for the Citizens Association as well. He is also a board member of Allen Village Charter School. When examining the vital areas of concern for the growth of Kansas City and return to a prominent place to live, work, and raise a family, Lance has been a key voice to building Kansas City’s momentum.
Lance brings a wealth of assets critical to the continued progress of Kansas City. Coupled with his Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification is his Magna Cum Laude Master’s in Business Administration. He takes his time to understand and utilize the appropriate tools and processes to make systems work accurately and efficiently. As a licensed Varsity Basketball Official, Lance demonstrates the ability to quickly assess and judge information correctly along with aiding area youth in their athletic development.
Service is a lifestyle for the Conley Family and Quentin, Devin, and Darin are thoroughly weaved into this commitment as Dana and Lance juggle church plays, P.T.A., football, basketball, and sleepovers. Lance and Dana believe it is very important for their children to see them involved in community issues while spending time engaging their children in positive activities. The door for conversation and family talk is always open at the Conley’s. Henry Ford said, “The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right.” Lance brings a “can-do” attitude to family, work, church, the Fifth District and Kansas City.

He was selected to participate in the inaugural TRU Leadership Program for Administrators and Physicians and won first place in the performance improvement contest. In 2013, Lance Co-Chaired TMC’s United Way Program raising more than $140,000 for various causes and charities in Kansas City. Lance incorporates his work with his core mission to help others along this journey.
